The Yulan magnolia gives the first sign of the spring. From late February to late March, the Central Park, Baitang Botanical Garden, Dushu Lake Half Moon Bay, the ring road along Yangcheng Lake, old Xietang Street, Xiandai Avenue and Suzhou Avenue offer the best scenes of Yulan magnolia blossoms.

The Jinji Lake Taohua Island, Lianchi Lake Park, Baitang Botanical Garden and Dongshahu Eco-Park are among the best locations to enjoy peach blossoms from mid-March to early April.

For people who love cherry blossoms, the Xiandai Avenue, Baitang Botanical Garden, Xianying Lake Park, Dongshahu Eco-Park, Suzhou Avenue west, Xincheng Neighborhood Center, Cherry Blossom Footpath at Qiyue Street, cycling track around Yangcheng Lake and Wenjing Road are highly recommended. Some cherry blossoms bloom from middle to late March, and others from late March to mid-April.

The Chinese violet cress blooms from March to May. The Baitang Botanical Garden is well worth a visit.

People who visit the Baitang Botanical Garden during this period can also enjoy beautiful Chinese flowering apple blossoms. Additionally, the intersection of Lujing Road and Yangchenghu Road and Xianying Lake Park are good places to enjoy this kind of flowers.

Rapeseed flower lovers can visit Lianhua Island and Yangcheng Lake Peninsula from mid-March to mid-April.

The intersection of Shuifu Road and Yangcheng Ring Road and Baitang Botanical Garden are among the best places for appreciating apricot flowers in March and April.

Peonies are in full bloom from late March to mid-May. The Jinji Lake Peony Garden is the best place to view peonies.

Lianchi Lake Park, Jinji Lake Fitness Trail (the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre section) and Xianying Lake Park are the best places to enjoy Chinese wisteria from early to middle April.

The Egrets Park by Dushu Lake is worth a visit from late April to early May when roses are the most charming.

The Chinese Rose Garden by Hubin Avenue is full of Chinese rose blossoms of various species from April to November.
