Recently, 11 restaurants in SIP were selected into the first-ever Michelin Guide Jiangsu which lists 29 restaurants in Suzhou and 45 in Nanjing and Yangzhou.

The restaurants won the recommendation by Michelin for their quality food with distinctive characteristics.

Hua Chi 88, for example, is a leader and pioneer in new-style Suzhou cuisine which features local ingredients creatively cooked with traditional techniques to meet modern culinary trends. It has made Meituan’s Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for seven consecutive years.

Su Mian Fang and Ban Ting Jia Yan, both located in Tonino Lamborghini Hotel Suzhou, are also selected for their delicate food which embodies the local food culture.

“We have been dedicated to helping our guests gain a deep understanding of the lifestyle of Suzhou through the noodles we serve,” said an executive of Su Mian Fang.

CHAO27, located on the 27th floor of InterContinental Suzhou, has blazed a trail in interweaving the food culture of Chaoshan of Guangdong province and that of Suzhou.

Other “Michelin-selected Restaurants” include Exquisite Bocuse, Jin Jing Ge, Xiu, Xizhou Hall, and Zhuo Yan Zhuo Mian.

Oriental Chao and Su Cheng Jia Yan (Ligongdi Road) are recommended with a Bib Gourmand which recognizes restaurants offering high-quality cuisine at an affordable price.
