SIP’s Jinji Lake Sub-district kicked off a running event at the square of Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre on Mar 20, motivating organizations and people in the sub-district to strive hard on the new journey this year for more achievements.

About 300 people including leaders of local authorities, those from community clubs, representatives of enterprises and public institutions and residents participated in eight teams.

Gu Ping, secretary of the CPC Jinji Lake Sub-district Working Committee, spoke at the opening ceremony, encouraging people in the sub-district to take part in the nationwide weight management campaign for health and fitness and also join efforts to promote better development of the sub-district.

During the event, the participants ran along a 3.3-kilometer route with the sculpture “Flying” on the right bank of Jinji Lake as the midpoint. All the teams finished the run with great passion, and enjoyed the fascinating scenery all the way through.
