About 100,000 netizens watched the opening of the first low-altitude traffic loop route in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta on Apr 3.
Along the 275-kilometer route, a helicopter took off from Shanghai at 10:05am, and landed in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province 35 minutes later, and then flied 25 minutes to SIP.
The helicopter route is designed for people who are willing to spend more to cut their travel time during business trips or commuting, and also for tourists.
At the fifth floor of Harmony City, a high-rise in SIP with a rooftop heliport, a VIP room has been opened to serve the helicopter riders. It provides coffee, tea and readings for people who have checked in at Suzhou City Terminal.
“We also provide one-stop services including hotel and catering services and tour guide services to tourists from Shanghai and Zhejiang,” said an executive of Sungent Harmony Development, one of the developers of this route.
