Peijia Medical (Suzhou) Limited, a medical devices company in SIP, and dsm-firmenich, a global leader in health, nutrition and bioscience, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Apr 1 to carry out strategic cooperation which is anticipated to initiate an epoch-making transformation in the field of high-end medical device materials worldwide.

Under the MOU, the two companies will maintain a long-term, stable, mutually beneficial partnership in designing and developing new high-end medical devices, optimizing key raw materials and advancing manufacturing process and techniques.

As a focus of the collaboration, the innovation of polymer heart valve material, a kind of non-biological, inorganic material with distinct advantages in physical and biochemical properties as well as service life, is expected to help improve efficacy of valve replacement therapies and reduce cost for more patients, especially young ones.
