Organized by Suzhou Dushu Lake Higher Education Institutions’ Alliance, a delegation consisting of members from 17 higher education institutions and other organizations in Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District in SIP visited Jinan, capital of East China’s Shandong province, from Oct 19 to 21 to learn about conditions of local schools and enterprises and seek cooperation.

The delegation first visited Shandong University, learning about its development and its experience in introducing and cultivating talents and commercializing scientific and technological research outcomes.

During the visit, the representatives from the national-level center that is being developed in Suzhou for transfer and commercialization of biomedical technologies developed by higher education institutions discussed cooperation with the Technology Transfer Center and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Shandong University.

The delegation then visited Inspur Group, a domestic leading cloud computing and big data service provider, and Bloomage Biotech, a biotech company that specializes in hyaluronic acid industrialization, gaining a deep understanding of the companies’ products and solutions.

The delegation also attended the meeting at Shandong University, giving local schools and enterprises an introduction to the responsibilities and work focus of Suzhou Dushu Lake Higher Education Institutions’ Alliance and discussing with them potential cooperation in talent cultivation, research and other aspects.
