The Administrative Committee of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District in SIP, SIP Enterprise Development Service Center and the School of Advanced Technology of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) jointly held an event on May 17 in the aim of promoting deep cooperation between enterprises and higher education institutions in SIP and surrounding areas in AI technology development and application. Over 30 people from schools, research institutes and enterprises participated.

At the event, the joint research centers founded by the School of Advanced Technology in collaboration with three enterprises were inaugurated.

Li Chunmei, vice president at AISpeech, a developer of intelligent speech solutions, gave the participants an introduction to AISpeech’s cooperation cases.

Wu Pingyan from the Industry Promotion Division of SIP Enterprise Development Service Center introduced the functions, activities, policies and outcomes of SIP Innolink, an innovation demand service and industrial cooperation service platform.

The event included a roundtable where the executives from several research institutes and tech companies shared their views on large AI models. After that they visited XJTLU’s virtual engineering center and gained a better understanding of a number of projects that the School of Advanced Technology is pushing forward.
