Suzhou, by the end of 2024, had gathered 607 nationally recognized “l(fā)ittle giants”, which refer to the elites of enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, ranking fourth among all cities in the country, according to the 2024 Report on Development of Little Giant Enterprises in Capital Market released recently by BESTLA, a data analysis platform focused on investment value of innovation and technology enterprises.
As an innovation and entrepreneurship hub in Suzhou, SIP is home to 148 nationally recognized “l(fā)ittle giants”, the most in a single district in Suzhou. Among these enterprises, 26 have gone public.
SIP has adopted a series of measures to nurture specialized and sophisticated enterprises, with a reserve team of more than 3,000 small- and medium-sized enterprises.
SIP provides support for these enterprises by level and category, tailoring support packages for them based on their positioning in market and the characteristics of their business operations. It also has established a series of service platforms to help them strengthen innovations and improve competitiveness.
For example, 18 events have been held so far this year to explain policies to enterprises and help them detect problems in their operations.
