The Strauss Capelle Vienna, an orchestra founded by Johann Strauss I in Vienna, Austria, in 1827, will perform in unique and historical red costumes – red swallow-tailed coat and white trousers, giving an original Viennese interpretation of Strauss works.
The orchestra started to stage New Year concerts in China in 2004, and has given performances in different cities including Beijing, Guangzhou and Zhuhai.
On the schedule of the concert at Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre are not just the Strauss family’s most enchanting melodies, but also several well-known Chinese songs including “Song of the Yangtze River” and “Jasmine Flower”.
